Check out how awesome the library looks at Driggs School!  Mrs. Brady and Mrs. Harris spent a lot of time setting up the library to have all of the Scholastic books on display for students to purchase during the week of April 21st.  All students have had the chance to make a "Wish List" where they wrote down 3 books and their price, so they can come back to school with money to purchase their books.  There are books for all ages including Minecraft and picture books.  There are even posters, pencils, erasers, and other gadgets for sale.  Don't forget to bring your money by Friday!

Ms. Wilson's first graders made matching T-shirts and celebrating Read Across America day with guest readers and snacks!  It was so much fun!

Earth Day Celebrations

Miss Cipriano's fourth graders learned about how to keep the earth a cleaner place in 2014.  They defined the the terms reduce, reuse, recycle, and compost and learned how they can affect the earth in their daily lives.  Then, they wrote their opinion of what they can feel that they can do to keep the earth a cleaner place.  Check out some of their persuasive pieces and creative earth posters!

Dr. Seuss Door Decorating

The classrooms had a competition to decorate their door with a Dr. Seuss inspired door!  Prizes were given out to the top 3 doors as well honorable mention awards.  Teachers and students worked hard reading many Dr. Seuss stories and coming up with their creative ideas for the doors.  The doors were judged by a panel who attended the Dr. Seuss Movie Night.  Check out the video below for some of the creative doors !

Dr. Seuss Night!

Driggs School honored Dr. Seuss' Birthday by having a celebration with snacks, drinks, and watching the fun movie "Horton Hears a Who!".  Check out some of the pictures of families that came for the event on a Friday Night!  Some students received books to take home to practice reading.  Thank you to Mr. Clay and our parent/staff volunteers who helped make this night a huge success!
